Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:19-20
As believers, we are called to actively spread God’s love in order to make a positive difference in our world.
Whether it be to our own loved ones, or someone from another country, we have been commissioned to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
When our hearts are filled God’s love, we naturally want to share that with others. We believe that every person has a mission and place to serve. Finding their place of service and becoming the presence of Christ to others is what we strive for at CGBC. In our attempts to follow this command to “Go therefore and make disciples,” our church supports missions through our praying, our serving, our going, and our giving.
Some of the ways we do that, is by supporting and praying for the North American Missionary Board as well as individual missionaries, working with the North Carolina Baptists on Mission, serving as the hands and feet of Jesus through NCBM Disaster Relief trainings and events, participating in summer mission camps, focusing on monthly missions that include both national and international opportunities to serve, partnering with the West Chowan Baptist Association, walking alongside Samaritan’s Purse in Operation Christmas Child, and building wheelchair ramps and other service projects through Operation Inasmuch.
There are multiple mission fields that we support and are always looking for new ways to be a part in helping to "make disciples of all nations." We hope you will consider joining us in being the hands and feet of Christ to a world in need.
